The 3V wingless sprinter is powered by Borello Racing Engines. Born
in Walnut Creek California in 1967, longtime El Dorado County
resident Tony Borello has crafted a reputation for quality engines.
Many high profile drivers like Ray Rust, David Robinson Jr, Mike
Henry and many others have captured championships with Borello
under the hood. In fact Tony has played a significant part in 35
championships over the past decade and a half.

Tony picked up the trade at Auburn Speed Products in 1984 and
continued his tutelage with Ryan Falconer and Trans-Am motors in
1988. Tony currently works out of his own shop in Georgetown and
does things on his own terms. He makes it known that this is family
owned business with wife Lisa making it possible. She handles the
administrative duties, billing and parts, while Tony is responsible for
over 30 motors during the race season. They team up and take even
greater pride in keeping their three kids on the straightaway.
Borello’s motors are known for both performance and durability.
Often with such success temptation to expand the workload gets the
better of a man but Tony has settled to a place in his life where racing
isn’t an all out obsession. His current operation runs on a Christian
faith and an unwavering commitment to family. Sunday mornings will
find him at his church in Placerville and not watching the Sprint Cup
boys at the big tracks.
Borello Race Engines, whether they get bolted to a sprint car,
modified, or stock car all get the same expertise and craftsmanship.
Tony says the reward is when the customer notices he has gone the
extra mile and can appreciate the attention to detail that goes into
each engine that leaves his shop. Josh and the whole Vieira clan give
a big thanks to Tony; we couldn’t do it without you!
